Sustainability affects us all - both individually and in the organisations in which we work and the communities in which we live. Reflecting this, EcoSTEPS prides itself in having an extremely diverse range of clients: from major multi-nationals to small NGOs. EcoSTEPS focuses on practical solutions to everyday sustainability challenges.  Below are some of the tools and approaches we have found to be most useful.

ISSP is the world’s leading professional association of sustainability practitioners. Through ISSP, sustainability professionals have access to the best KSAs, tools, and career development resources.  Julian Crawford is proud to have been a long serving Director and also President of ISSP.

PROJECT - The Natural Step

Sustainability is a complex topic that affects us all. That’s why EcoSTEPS use a set of sustainability principles to create a common language to guide action. The Natural Step’s sustainability principles have been tested and applied since the early 1990’s.  EcoSTEPS have been leading promoters and users of TNS since our founding in 1999.  Click on the video for a great two minute intro.

PROJECT - Ecological Footprint

EcoSTEPS is pleased to be an Endorsing Partner of the Global Footprint Network. Ecological Footprint is a resource management tool that measures how much land and water area a human population requires to produce the resources it consumes and to absorb its wastes under prevailing technology. By measuring the Ecological Footprint of a population (an individual, a city, a nation, or all of humanity) we can assess our overshoot, which helps us manage our ecological assets more carefully.

PROJECT - B Corporations

EcoSTEPS were proud to become a Certified B Corporation® in 2016.  B Corps are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
