Sustainability Answers

Over the past few years, EcoSTEPS has been developing a comprehensive approach to working with organisations as a 'Sustainability Partner'. Collectively we call this intellectual property our 'Sustainability Answers'.

These Sustainability Answers comprehensively address all aspects of strategy development & implementation and associated training and change programs. Sustainability Answers are organised into three dimensions and six Sustainability Steps. Taken together they offer a holistic approach to sustainability.

An organisation’s path towards sustainability can be mapped through the EcoSTEPS Sustainability Answers chart. These six steps can be considered as stations on the journey - from first thoughts about sustainability through to indicators and reporting.

There are two phases, each of three steps: ‘Getting Ready’ and ‘Moving Forwards’.

Getting Ready

The first three steps are concerned with establishing the rationale and organisation-specific business case for sustainability. You’ll need to identify the sustainability drivers and principles that matter most to your organisation. You’ll also need to communicate what you are doing to your Board, Management, Staff and Stakeholders.

Moving Forwards

With the business case and sustainability principles established and understood, your organisation is ready to move forwards. You can look forward to reaping the triple bottom line rewards that come from being proactive on sustainability issues.
