“Our experience of working with EcoSTEPS was a very positive one. Their advice was comprehensive, timely and clearly communicated – and demonstrated an excellent appreciation of our business and our people.”

TBL Implementation and Reporting Strategy

ICAA wished to develop a coherent strategic approach to sustainability that would allow it to demonstrate that it was ‘walking the talk’ with regard to its own sustainability strategy, behaviours and TBL reporting. Initially, this related to its own management and resource consumption behaviours. In due course, it might progressively become a model of best practice that other professional bodies and organisations might emulate.

Approach:

Initial internal ‘champions’ were identified and focus group meetings held to identify the individual and organisational drivers. In addition, a comprehensive web-based search and analysis of literature and comparable experience was undertaken. These processes led to the development of a ‘gap analysis’ of behaviours and activities.

Outcomes:

Development of an integrated TBL sustainability strategy designed to engage progressively all departments and staff. In the short-term, a framework for TBL reporting has been developed.
