Margaret Haseltine heads EcoSTEPS involvement with the FMCG sector through our joint venture the FMCG Sustainability Insitute (FSI)

Margaret holds more than 20 years experience at senior executive and Board level, with 19 of those with Mars Incorporated, and for 4 of those as CEO of Mars Food, formerly Masterfoods. Margaret is well known and respected in the FMCG industry and was actively involved with the Australian Food and Grocery Council, serving on sub committees such as the Supply Chain group.

Margaret has also a proven track record as a non executive director on Boards such as the Effem Foods Superannuation Board, the current Chair of the Ourimbah Campus, TAFE Advisory Board, and the non executive director on BRI Research.

She is a highly experienced and proven executive leader with operating experience from general management to supply chain, procurement, HR and change management in both operations and culture.

Margaret also specializes in helping companies with Sustainability and the Triple Bottom line compliance in both reporting and strategy. Margaret has developed an FMCG industry specific ‘Sustainability Toolkit’ for the FMCG Sustainability Institute, and has worked closely with the Australian Food & Grocery Council in its development and roll out to the industry.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auckland university, Diploma in Secondary Teaching. Graduate AICD, ASFA 146 superannuation qualified, Graduate in Mars University General Management School and is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Companies Directors Diploma course. She is currently undertaking further studies in sustainability at Swinburne University.
